Cycle or set: At Last, To Be Identified!

Cycle Comments: From the composer: "Although At last, to be identified! was originally conceived as a cycle, it has never been performed as such. In fact 'I never saw a Moor' has become my most popular song and most people don't know the other pieces even exist. 'I never saw a Moor' was recorded by Lauren Wagner on Channel Classics, and by Patricia Prunty on her CD 'A Child of Air.' Jennifer Casey Cabot has recorded the entire cycle for demo purposes."

Cycle or set: Back by the Roadside

Cycle Comments: six songs for tenor or baritone and piano on poems by Walt Whitman. Total duration 5:00 minutes. This cycle seems like a beautifully written introduction for beginning singer and beginning listener to some standard 20th century techniques. Largely quite consonant to my ear.
